![]() We had a loft with sofa and TV and then a bedroom with a second TV. The rooms were pretty big for a restored older building. The best surprise for me, was it's only a few blocks to Neiman Marcus so we got some shopping in! Plenty of restaurants to walk to. ![]() ![]() Since we in town 2 days and wanted to cab or Uber, not rent a car, this was the perfect hotel. The shuttle drove us and a few other guests attending the show, kudos, that's excellent service! They also shuttled us to Deep Ellum, which was close by and a great place to hang out and spend the day. Stayed here for the Sixx AM concert and wanted a hotel close to the Bomb Factory. Very disappointing and not managed well on Hotel Indigo's part. Since we were delayed by an hour at this point, it was a struggle to find any place that was still open for dinner (it was about 11:30 pm). Unfortunately they got the shuttle out for us, and it was another 15 minutes before a driver appeared and we started heading out to the new hotel. We asked for the address and while the Marriott was only about a 15 minute car ride, it was *just* off the highway and NO where NEAR any restaurants! We'd already paid $30 for the Uber from the airport, and refused to pay for another taxi/Uber, so we made the Indigo shuttle us there. ![]() Then he disappeared to the back room, came back and said they were overbooked and didn't have a hotel room for us after all, BUT they were sending us to the Marriott nearby. Long story: As we were checking in, the attendant was asking the normal questions: "Are you ok with one queen size bed?" "How long is your stay?" etc. Unfortunately elsewhere was NO where near downtown, and the shuttle took forever to get us to our new hotel. Short story: They overbooked and we were the 4th people they'd sent elsewhere. On the positive side, the staff seemed pleasant and very friendly. I didn't call down, b/c it was after 10:30, and I just didn't want to deal with it (I covered the seat with a couple layers of TP). Could be a cleaner that wasn't removed before it hardened, but it could be something entirely different. It had something yellow and crusty on it. I went to pee for the not-first time, and for the first time, I noticed THE SEAT WAS DIRTY!!! Not the bowl, but the SEAT. I heard every word anyone said in the hallway, and the heavy walkers as they passed by. (I walked one block to a 7-11 to get a bottle of wine.) I turned the central AC fan to "on" as white noise, like I always do in a hotel - nothing. I worked in my room till almost 10:00, then went down to the bar to get a nightcap to bring to my room, to find the bar closes at 10:00, it was actually 10:10, and the clock in my room was 15 minutes behind. Bed is king-sized, but pillows are tiny - throw-pillow sized squares. Room is tiny, bathroom tiny and odd - like, closet for hanging clothes is corner of bathroom behind the door. I stayed again May 18-19, 2015, when I spoke at a conference next door at UNT, who made arrangements for all the speakers. My hubby and I were here a couple years ago and at the time, I was unhappy with the tiny room and completely clueless bartender (I live in a small town I'm not a bar snob, I promise!). Could be a cleaner that wasn't removed before it hardened, but it could. I turned the central AC fan to "on" as white noise, like I always do in a hotel - nothing. (I walked one block to a 7-11 to get a bottle of wine.)
